Durban University of Technology (DUT) online application for 2025 academic year,are open for prospective students who wish to pursue undergraduate and postgraduatequalifications.

 

DUT offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses across various disciplines. These disciplines are offered through the faculties of Accounting & Informatics, Applied Sciences, Arts & Design, Engineering & the Built Environment, Health Sciences, and Management Sciences.

DUT Documents required

When completing online application please ensure that you attach/upload certified

• Copies of your identity document
• Final Grade 11 & Grade 12 certificate (June/
• Trial report if you have not written your final examination).

DUT ONLINE APPLICATION 2025

All first year applications are submitted through the Central Applications Office (CAO). This is a simplified way of applying for more than one programme and at different institutions, using one application form and paying a single application fee.

Step 1: Visit the CAO website: www.cao.ac.za 

Step 2: Click on the “apply” tab

Step 3: Read the information and click on the “continue with application” tab

Step 4:  Enter your ID number or your Cao number. then click on submit

Step 5: Click on the “continue with application” tab

Step 6: Enter All the information requested. Once you have entered all the information requested, click ‘Next‘

Step 7: A pop-up will appear with your CAO Number, Password and EasyPay Number.

The same information will also be sent to the email address you provided. This information is important in case you want to access your information at a later date.

Step 8: Click ‘Continue with Online Application‘

Step 9: Capture your next of kin details

Step 10: Enter your grade 11 results or your grade 12 results

Step 11: Choose the courses you want to apply for (you can choose up to 6 choices)

Step 12: Check the information provided in the Summary of your application

Step 13: Click the ‘Process My Application’ button at the end of the page

YOUR APPLICATION HAS NOW BEEN SUBMITTED

A message will be displayed on screen informing you that your submission has been successful

Step 14:  You can now upload your supporting documents and pay your application fee online OR pay at an EasyPay Outlet

DUT APPLICATION FEE

Pay application fee of R250 (SA Citizen) or R300 (International applicants) when
submitting your application. Your application will only be active once paymentis received.

DUT APPLICATION CLOSING DATES

The application must reach the CAO office before the closing date of 30 September 2024
(Please refer to specific programmes for relevant closing dates, as some programmes close earlier than30 September 2024).
